I’m a yoga-practicing trail runner currently based in Durham, North Carolina.
I have been practicing yoga since I was in high school when my mother and I would go to classes together. Wherever life’s journey has taken me, my yoga practice has been there to bring me back to my mind and my body. I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training through my teachers Paul and Sommer Sobin and their Thousand Petals Yoga Teacher Training program in alignment-based (formerly Anusara) yoga.
I found trail running in 2013 after getting shin splints training for a road marathon. The trails transformed running from a physical exercise into a moving meditation. Since then I have run trails races of almost every distance between 5 and 50 miles and am training for my first 100km race.
As much as I love running itself, I also love giving back to different causes through my running and have raised nearly $10,000 over the last six years for the Tufts Marathon Team, Girls on the Run of Western North Carolina, and Soccer Without Borders.
My goal in life is really very simple – I am striving to live the life that makes me the best version of myself and I want to help others do the same!
Contact me with any questions here. If you live in the Triangle and are interested in working with me one on one, check out the private or small group lessons that I offer.
